Does Menopause Relief affect the metabolism of any medication?Updated a year ago

Overall, there are no known clinically significant interactions with most medications that we are aware of. But there are 2 areas we could find that garners more caution:

  • Menopause Relief contains Bioperine (a piperine extract). A couple of studies suggest that piperine may inhibit CYP3A4, CYP2C9 enzyme & PGP, which could potentially boost concentrations of their substrate medications like carbamazepine, diclofenac, propranolol, etc. However, none of the studies proved whether the interactions are clinically significant.
  • As Menopause Relief contains curcumin, we do not recommend taking it with blood thinners like heparin where their anti-clotting effect may be amplified.
Do note that we are not medical professionals, thus we cannot give medical advice.
